Welsh Rarebit is a delicious, cheesy, twist on toast. Parents and kids alike will love this!
Welsh Rarebit
Ingredients
- One half pound cheddar cheese (cut into small cubes)
- 1 Tbsp butter
- One half tsp. dry mustard
- Dash or two or cayenne pepper
- 1 egg beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- One half cup of beer
- Wheat toast
Instructions
- Melt cheese and butter slowly over low heat
- Stir constantly until mixture is liquefied
- Add dry mustard and pepper and stir
- Add egg, salt and pepper and beer to cheese
- Continue to stir until egg is cooked but do not let it boil
- The mixture will become smooth and creamy
- Spoon over sliced wheat toast
