Tummy Ache

The following recipe makes 1 cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Tanqueray Gin
  • 1 oz Benedictine
  • 1.5 oz freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz soda water
  • A twist of grapefruit peel, as a garnish

Instructions 

  • Combine the Tanqueray, Benedictine, grapefruit juice, and simple syrup in a shaker tin with ice.
  • Shake for five seconds, and strain drink into chilled glasses.
  • Add a splash of soda water, and serve cold, with a twist of grapefruit.

Notes

If you prefer a drier cocktail, reduce the quantity of simple syrup.
