The classic mixed drink is souped-up in this fancier version with a bit of Aperol or Campari, honey-lemon juice, and thyme. The recipe below makes 2 cocktails.
Ingredients
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1.5 Tbsp honey
- 4 thyme sprigs
- 10 oz freshly-squeezed orange juice, very cold
- 3 oz vodka, very cold
- 3 oz Aperol of Campari, very cold
- 3 oz Club soda, very cold
- 2 slices of fresh orange, as garnish
Instructions
- Combine lemon juice with the honey and thyme and orange juice and stir until fully combined.
- Mix in the vodka, Aperol, and Club soda and gently stir to combine.
- Pour into tall glasses over ice, garnished with the fresh orange slices.
