Ingredients

Sauce

  • cup golden honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chili sauce
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • Sesame seeds if desired
  • Minced green onion, garnish

Pork

  • 2 pounds thin-cut pork chops
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp fresh ground salt
  • ¼ tsp cracked pepper (or to taste)
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions 

  • Put together the sauce by warming all the ingredients until thoroughly mixed.
  • Set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix together cornstarch, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper.
  • Cut the chops into ½-inch thick strips (about 2-3” long each).
  • Toss the pork strips into the cornstarch blend. Make sure all sides are covered.
  • Take out your skillet again, put in the sesame oil, and warm over medium heat.
  • Put a few strips at a time in the pan, taking care not to crowd them.
  • Sear for 2-3 minutes and move the pork to a plate.
  • Once all the strips are seared, put them back into the pan with the honey sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes to thicken.
  • Toss the pork with sesame seeds and green onion before serving over your chosen starch.
