Brandied Cherry Cobbler
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and sliced in half
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cherry brandy or regular brandy
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Topping:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Place cherries in a greased square-baking dish.
- Sprinkle ½ cup sugar over them followed by the brandy and butter.
- Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and ¼ cup melted butter and use a fork to form a crumb mixture.
- Sprinkle over cherries and bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Cool slightly before serving.
- Goes great with vanilla ice cream.
