Sometimes, you want a tangy burger sauce at the ready when you’re serving up a large number of burgers at home. This sauce includes a balance of mayonnaise, yellow mustard, bread & butter pickles, ketchup, and sour cream. It is surprisingly delicious.
Ingredients
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup ketchup
2 cups yellow mustard
½ cup sour cream
1 shallot, finely minced
3 Tbsp bread & butter pickles, small dice
Instructions
Combine ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir until fully incorporated. Keep in the fridge until ready to use.
Notes
This sauce will keep great in the fridge for a week. Feel free to omit the finely minced shallots, although I think they really bring together the sauce. In terms of ketchup brands, I am not really sure why I prefer Heinz over every other brand that I’ve ever tried. You can make this sauce with Dijon mustard, but I preferred the flavor of the finished sauce when made with the classic yellow mustard.
